The owner was a business owner and pilot. This meant all of his vehicles were always kept in tip top mechanical and running order.
The car, always garaged was used regularly through the 1970’s.
Sometime during this period its seats were upgraded to a high end, leather and fabric covered aftermarket Recaro seats. The seats
were special order to match the cars’ interior and perfectly as you will see in the photos, they do. Because these seats are so period
correct and in perfect original condition, they must be considered a bonus to an otherwise completely original 46 year old car.
In 1978, with 88,000 miles a Porsche dealership was employed to rebuild the motor. Over the next 40 years the car would be driven
21,000 miles to its current mileage of 109,000.
In 1980 the owner’s company was sold and with his desire to keep the car the title was transferred from his companies name, to him
personally (Online you will find both personal and corporate names connected, as company Founder).
During the past decade the suspension was rebuilt and new bushings installed to tighten and bring back its tight handling Porsche
characteristics.
Mechanically it runs and drives very well. The motor sounds wonderful, makes the proper expected power and without funny noises.
The transmission is smooth and easy and what should be expected from a 915 gear box. Brakes stop well and straight.
Interior is clean and has an excellent patina. The Recaro seats, door panels and dash are all in excellent condition. The stereo and
speakers are original to its delivery and the carpets are presentable too. There are not cuts, changes or modifications to the car other
than the Recaro seats.
