1981 Porsche 924 Description

Please note - this car was originally listed as a 924 Turbo. Unfortunately, I have found out, it is not a turbo. The rear plate, and the owners manuals, which show the original sales date of 8/7/81, both say it is a turbo, with the correct VIN I have listed, but the VIN has the numbering of a non-turbo, and the engine does not appear to be a turbo model. I am more disappointed about it than you.
My wife bought the car when we bought our house - it was in the garage. It was meant to be a birthday present for me to play with, but unexpected expenses are limiting the money I could use to restore it, and way too much junk means we need the space anyway.
It was driven by an older gentleman that owned the house, but he developed an illness, and was in assisted living until he passed. Car hasn’t been driven in several years. Odometer reads 33,554, but I have no idea if that is accurate or not. Interior is in good condition except for one spot on driver’s seat (see picture). Tires are holding air, but are cracked, so you will need a trailer to pick it up.
I have NOT attempted to start it, as it has old fluids (gas, oil, coolant). I have noted several small things that need to be fixed. Passenger door latch needs bolt (door won't latch), driver's side headlight not attached to motor, sticks up a bit (see picture). Tires are holding air, but they are all cracked. They definitely need to be replaced. You will need a trailer or car transport to move it.
If the only reason it wasn't being driven is because of the man getting sick, replacing fluids, tires and a new battery might be all it takes to make it run, but I can't guarantee that.
If you wish to come and see it, I will be happy to show it to you. Car is garaged in Mooresville, NC. Shipping is NOT available. You must pick it up.
