1978 Porsche 928- 65k Actual Miles, Pasha, Euro, 5 Speed!!
1978 Porsche 928 Description
1978 Porsche 928
If you are looking for a low mileage, first model year 928 with some desirable options, here it is.
Details:*Euro Model*No Side Moldings, Sunroof, or Bumperettes*5 Speed (maybe the best working transmission Ive ever had in a 928, and have had many)*Cork on Black/Tan Pasha...the original interior is all there!*Just over 65k Actual Miles (odometer works, was never federalized and has just under 106k Kilometers). I have personally logged about 700 miles on the car this year.*Many service records over the years, including the original import DOT papers from 1983*Has spent the majority of its life in Idaho where they do not salt= there is basically zero corrosion on this car.*Fresh Repaint in January 2019, would rate as good driver quality respray in its original Schwartz*Factory Blaupunkt is retained and is working*All electrical equipment works (headlights, horn, wipers, windows, radio, lights, etc)*Pulls well and shifts perfectly with no smoke or issues*Recent service this year included Brad Penn oil change, Redline gearbox fluid, new distributor cap, air filter, a tire rotation, WUR/Distributor cleaning, and coolant flush.*The exhaust is factory with the exception of the rear Ansa muffler. It is an extremely quiet 928.*Tires and brakes are in good condition with plenty of life left.

Issues*All of the cluster gauges work, but the temp gauge is intermittent...sometimes it reads accurately, sometimes will read full hot even if the car is completely cold.*Some of the tools are present, but no spare is included (plenty on ebay available)*The heating and HVAC controls work, but the air - conditioning is non-operational*While the interior is all original, there are typical cracks on the dash, some splitting of the pasha fabric, and general wear. The rear seats and door cards look perfect, I didnt have the heart to redo all of it because of the originality. If the winning buyer should want to re-do everything, I can make recommendations.*The ignition switch is intermittent. Sometimes it takes a few turns of the key. This is a common 928 thing and I'm including a new switch to go along with the car.
Purchase Details*A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 48 hrs of auction end via paypal, quickpay, or venmo.*Full payment is expected within 7 days of the end of auction. I accept money wires, cash, Chase Quickpay or Venmo for the balance. No checks please.*If I accept an offer you make, please expect fulfill your commitment.*Once payment is fully cleared, you will receive the clean Texas title in my name via Fedex with tracking*This 928 will be garaged out of the elements until it is picked up.*I am happy to recommend shipping companies. This 928 is located near downtown Dallas for easy pickup.*This is a 40 year old car, so obviously no warranties expressed or implied.
Overall, this is a very desirable 928 that can be driven as-is or restored to perfection. I will leave that choice up to the new owner. I have priced all of the faults in considering what an excellent '78 will go for, but all reasonable offers will be considered.
