1979 Porsche 911 Targa Description

European Motor Studio is excited to offer this 1979 Porsche 911SC Targa finished a very desirable and attractive Iris Blue Metallic over Blue leather. After rolling off the Stuttgart production line in December of 1978, this 911SC was invoiced to North America and delivered new to its first owner in Oklahoma City. The first owner had owned the car until May 1983 when the second and final owner bought the car. Fresh out of a long term ownership in Altus... Oklahoma, this 79 911SC Targa has covered a mere 22,000 miles since new. The paint is in excellent condition with a very nice luster and finish. There are a couple small spots in the clear on the passenger front fender (pictured) and a couple small stone chips in the front nose. The body is very straight and completely rust free including the undercarriage. All of the trim and body seals are in excellent condition (the black rubber trim piece on the upper bumper under the front bonnet lid has a couple wrinkles). The Targa roof is in excellent condition and has very good fitment. The leather interior looks almost new. The seats do not show any wear to the leather and the carpets do not have any damage or tears. The dash is in excellent condition showing no signs of warpage or damage. All of the switchgear and gauges are clear and free from any wear or damage. The original Blaupunkt radio works great and looks just about new. The engine starts right up and free from any smoking under start up or acceleration. The engine pulls very strong and sounds excellent and a recent cylinder leak down test has just been performed with all 6 coming in under 7%. Cam chain tensioner upgrade has already been performed. The transmission has recently had a reseal and the clutch feels great with no slipping or pressure issues. The brakes are very solid and firm and the steering and suspension feel excellent and tight. All of the electronics in the car are operating as designed including both power windows and mirrors, power antenna and all of the interior and exterior lights. A recent service has just been performed by a Porsche specialty shop here in town along with 4 new tires. The original jack, spare, tool kit, Porsche brochure, Porsche key and original registration cards from the previous owner are all present with the sale of this 911. VIN 480-336-1987
