1975 Porsche 914 Description

Here is a 1975 914 factory matching number 1.8Liter motor with the factory fuel injection and has a Clean 1975 title. Paint code is L13K Summer yellow

This Porsche is some what solid & Has 87489 Miles on it. The oil change was change in 9-21-1992 and was up at 84989(oil still looks good on dipstick). The last inspection sticker was 1992. So it was parked that year.

It is the original Yellow paint it may have been resprayed the factory color at one time or another.

The trunks look good somewhat solid. I do have pics of trunk and other areas if you need them let me know. I think someone coated the trunks with por15 or some type of black paint to protect the know rust areas. Still has the original rockers & floor pans on this car. The longitudes may need some repair to them?

The interior & carpet is all original and look good. The seats do have some tape here and there on it, but still show nice.

The glass is all good. The dash has some cracks typical of these 914's but not too bad..

It looks as thou it has been inside most of its life. It has the original manual and has Porsche Dealership stamps in the back and all the miles even up to recently oil changed and been documented with papers. Items like the battery, tires and oil changes still has papers with it. It will need those items replaced before running of course.

It does have the sought after Mahle wheels which are very light and strong wheels and can be polished out. Could make a "BumbleBee" tribute car for sure with this one!

This is a nice original car, Which I do believe is a 3 owner car. The motor is the Mid engine 1.8 Fuel injection as original, so hasn't been butchered up with carbs! Four wheel disc brakes from the factory with a 5 speed transmission. The car was originally purchased in Illinois, from there to a second owner, I bought it from the third owner who did nothing with it since 1995. It is titled in his name and it was signed and dated on 10-3-2019. No price on the title. I thought we were going to fix it up and drive but I am not very good with wiring and diagnosing and we are going to finish up some other projects at this time. This car could be a simple fix but I do not know where to start. We did clean it up.

This is a 44 year old car, so it is far from perfect but is a nice original. It is a good starting point.

The paint does have scratches & blemishes and rust spots.

There is some bubbling in paint in a few places, and the hood looks like some hail damage as well. The front drivers side by marker light has a rust hole not sure why that is the worst visual on the car.

There is some rust in door pillars.

The engine and undercarriage need a good cleaning.

The doors were unlocked at some point and someone has taken the horn ring, so it doesn't have one.

The Passenger door handle does need the small plastic piece that makes the door open, so you have to open the passenger door from the inside.

I cleaned out the gas tank. It was running but now I get no power to the key and nothing on the inside will come on. I was using my battery out of my car. So it will need a new battery as well and the one in it now dead.

The rear trunk did open but now I can not get open. It is solid in the inside. I think the hinge bolts are broken and keeping it from opening. I don't really see much hail damage on the rear trunk like the hood the rear trunk maybe because of the way it was parked? (it does have the rod / springs still attached).

Even with these things, I feel like it would be tough to find a all original survivor / sleeper car that is untouched and in such good shape for this price.

I was going to under coat this car but decided not to, so you can see how nice of an original this car really is.

This car is very simple to work on and doesn't come with the high cost of other Porsche's.

This car is one of those cars you can fix up, drive and enjoy and do repairs at your leisure.

The 914 is a fun, solid, great little car with a good amount of storage, these cars are great on the highway and get great gas mileage.
