1988 Porsche 924 Description
1988 Porsche 924S SE.Only 500 were imported to USA, and It is speculated that only half of those still exist!Factory 2.7 liter 160Hp engine. 5 Speed. M030 upgraded suspension with heavy springs and 23 mm sway bar. Southwestern car originally from Colorado, in New Mexico since 1991. 160,000 miles. Previous owner had it since 2012 when it had 145,000 miles. In seven years, put 15,000 miles on it which adds up to a little over 2,000 miles a year. It’s was a third car, fun to drive and to putter about on a Sunday. He worked out most of the awkward things that pop up on a classic car: dried up fuel lines, engine mounts, rear rotors and pads, new battery and cables, air conditioner compressor, and new radiator and hoses. He added Hella headlamps, a Blaupunkt CD player with new speakers and had the seats nicely reupholstered in a black vinyl. Executive Auto in Santa Fe take care of any things that could not be handled. .Earlier owner had the O2 sensor replaced and the timing belt done at 134,000. He also painted it in the original black and installed 928 wheels.

Included with the purchase is a 3 ring binder with receipts, documentation, fun facts, etc. It has an original spare with 12v compressor to inflate it, but also a full size spare on a 928 rim. Good glass, windows work as do the headlight pop ups, turn signals, brake lights, etc. Comes with the owner’s manual and the Carfax when previous owner purchased it.Oil pressure is good, does not run hot even with the AC on. Just replaced the oil sensor, spark plugs and air filter. Oil and filter were changed 300 miles ago.A survivor, a few small coin size dings as shown. Dashboard has a few cracks as shown.
This is an honest car with verifiable history No known accidents. No smoke, no major leaks. It runs and rives well. I would be comfortable with jumping in it and driving across country. That being said, this car is 31 years old. It is being sold as-is, where-is. You will make arrangements for transport, though I will work with your transport company to make it convenient.
