1968 Porsche 912 Description

If you have never driven a 912 you owe it to yourself to take one out on a nice day see what a fabulous car this is.My 912 which is up for sale is an interesting cross between a great driver and an excellent candidate for restoration. The car drives great as you can see from the video I included. I am going to break the condition down to its good points and its bad. Odometer shows 27,000, actual mileage is unknown.Good:
  • Gas tank drained, flushed and cleaned
  • New seal around the gas tank
  • Carburetors tuned
  • Complete tune up, new ignition wires
  • New spark plugs, Distributor, Rotor, Ignition points
  • Ignition condenser, New Coil and bracket
  • New fuel filter, New oil change and filter
  • Front and rear brakes calipers rebuilt
  • New brake pads, New brake hoses
  • Flush brake fluid and removed old fluid
  • Excellent original factory optional corduroy insert seats with optional headrests
  • All original glass, crystal clear
  • Original matching numbers engine was rebuilt by prior owner
  • Repaint in 1990, the paint has held up because this car has been garaged most of its life
  • Review the photos carefully to see condition
  • Engine runs and pulls strong
  • Ansa exhaust system
  • Heater works great
  • Last year of the classic short wheel base
  • Body is in great shape
Bad:The floor pans will need to be replaced due to old rust repair that could have been done better. The tach goes to 7k and stays there when the car is startedThe turn signals and horn do not workThe sun visors are no longer in the carThe emergency flasher switch is in the glove box and will need to be installedNeeds a front driver headlight. High beam is fine but low beam is out.
I have provided full disclosure on everything I know about this car. The reason I am selling it is because when I bought the car I was assured it was rust free so I paid a lot for this car only to find that it does in fact have a rust issue, hence the need to replace the floor pans. I don't have the time or energy get all this fixed so I am selling it to someone who either can do the work themselves or is willing to take on the project.Feel free to come see and drive the car and you can call me if you want to speak more about the car.Paul443 850-1143
