Well... meet the best of both worlds. This was a perfect 1985.5 donor Porsche 944 with about 65k miles on it. Total frame off restoration down to every bolt and nut.ExteriorVisually the Porsche 944 is one of the coolest affordable Porsche's money can buy. Total frame off restoration down to every bolt and nut.A donor Porsche 968 engine with about 33k miles on it and transmission with about the same 33k on it where put in place of the factory 944 engine and transmission. So this car is a combination of the 968 technology with the mean sporty look of a 944 Turbo and more.A custom 944 Turbo front bumper with the large lights removed and slim driving lights and blinker from the BMW 850i custom grafted inside.Rear 944 tail lights were removed and the 968 tail lights were grafted by hand hammered not cheap bondo.A rear 944 Turbo diffuser/valance was also installed.oversize slotted and drilled rotors with red 944 Turbo look calipers were installed. Porsche Boxter brake cooling vents were grafted into the sides and are functional. Many 968 parts were used including outside door handles and side mirrors. The battery was relocated to the rear hatchback with the positive cable running in a fire proof sleeve over torque tube out of cockpit.The motor was never opened and is all stock and original. The shaft gear, belt tensioner and all new sensors including crank/cam shaft sensor were replaced before installation. Also a new Porsche performance clutch kit was installed before installation. New motor and transmission mounts.All mechanical work was preformed by a factory trained Porsche mechanic. All new hoses and fluids.Extrude and honed the original fuel chambered intake manifold for smooth and increased air flow.Rebuilt and bored throttle body.
