Please note that I am selling this for a friend but will have answers to your question with only a slight delay. The car is in my shop, so if you want details looked at and described or photographed, I am more than happy to help seriously interested parties.
Please also note that the car is also advertised for sale in my local area, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Once the Reserve has been met, I will take the car off the market locally and let the auction run its course.
The car is currently located in the Toronto, Canada area but originally came from Washington State in the U.S., so reimportation to the United States is relatively simple. There would be a 2.5% duty applicable at time of importation into the United States in addition to the local sales tax you would pay upon registering the vehicle, however, it is the Buyer's responsibility to deal with all importation issues and matters of duties and taxes payable, as well as to organize pick-up and transportation, although I will be happy to help where I can.
Please do not ask for a Buy-It-Now price; this auction will run its course, unless a local buyer purchases the car before the Reserve has been met. Terms of payment are: Immediately after close of auction $1,000.00 is payable via Paypal. The balance is payable no later than five business days after close of auction, via bank wire transfer. Please do not bid if you won't be able to meet these payment terms.
This car is a beautiful, correct and straight example of the mid-seventies Porsche era. The Peru-Red paint is original with only a few flaws from stone chips, etc. that have been touched up by previous owners. Interior and exterior show much better than one would expect from a car of this vintage. Obviously the car was always well loved and looked after. The Targa top looks pristine and fits very well. The interior is very nice and shows some wear but is far better than one would expect from a car of this age. There are no rips or tears in the upholstery and no stains in the carpet.
Mechanically, everything is in correct working order and the car starts easily and drives and shifts very well. Despite its 102,503 miles showing on the odometer - which is believed to be correct, though no back-up exists - the car pulls very strongly, shows no smoke from the exhaust and a leak-down test showed all cylinders to be no more than 10%. Please note that this car has no smog equipment.
