1973 Porsche 914 1.8L Green Racer with Fresh Paint Engine Rebuilt
1973 Porsche 914 Description
This 914 is ready for a newowner to take it just that little bitfurther to become a dedicated street/track racer. Thanks to a lot ofpainstaking metal work and an engine rebuild from the previous owner, (seen here on the 914 forums ) this car is set to be a reliable and beautiful low-maintenance track day blast. As can be seen, it was taken down to bare metal and then painted a uniqueyet subtle delphi green metallic, and the heavy steel hood and bumpers ditched in favor of lightweight, easy to repair fiberglass. Since buying this car a few yearsback it has sat in indoor storage here in PA, with Sta-Bil in the tank and been started up and warmed/driven periodically to keep it from taking any excess wear from dried out seals and stale gas. It has never seen rain or snow in our ownership and came from Arizona originally so likelyhasn't seen it there either. It starts easy and makes plenty of power andtorque, and is helped through the gears by a Rennshift shifter that really does anamazing job of shorteningthe throws and easing any adjustments needed. All gears are easily reached, and the clutch is strong and direct. This car comes with the door windows and rear window, as well as the headlamps, though they are uninstalled. Some nice features include a lightweight battery, electronic ignition, extra gauges in the dash, sway bars, Simpson harnesses, Bride seats, and a passenger foot brace. The engine has probably less than 100 miles on it since the rebuild. The wheels are not original but are in very nice shape, and the tires will need replacing. This car comeswith a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche Cars North America. Please see the photos of the trunks, engine area, interior and undersideof the car to get a sense of how solid this car is.Feel free toask me any questions here, orarrange to see the car in person, it is located near Philadelphia, PA.
