1923 Replica/Kit Makes Ford T Model T Bucket Description

This briefly listed last weekend (6/3/18) before I realized the end-time was 7am, not 7pm. Not a good time to end, so I canceled that listing before anyone bid. Sorry for any inconvenience. so now it'll end on Father's day. Great gift to yourself, your dad or hubby!

Unique one-off Roadster based on 1923 Model T body. Registered 2005. Clean title with current California registration through January 2019. SB100 Special Construction ("SPCNS"), so NO SMOG TEST REQUIRED- EXEMPT FOREVER IN CALIFORNIA!Absolute blast to drive, turns heads and gets lots of "thumbs up".

Fully custom spaceframe, including well-braced rollover cage. Fiberglass 1923 T-bucket body, which was “sliced” to fit around the frame to maximize frame integrity. Spring loaded pins allow rapid removal of sides and dash for unparalleled access for maintenance, repair etc. Aluminum Kirkey Racing seats could easily be replaced with traditional bench seat if preferred.

Chevy 350 crate motor with Holley 4-barrel, Holley Street Dominator manifold, hotter (torquer) cam and HEI. Gear drive cam, so it sounds a bit like it's supercharged. I do not know the actual HP or torque numbers, but in a car so light, it’s plenty….! GM 4-spd overdrive automatic transmission. All U.S Ford running gear: Rear wheel drive, independent rear suspension, disc brakes all around, limited slip differential. Rack and Pinion steering; coilovers and custom a-arms all four corners. Spare set of 4 rims included if wanted.

Extra thick multi-core radiator. Power brakes. Safety-cell fuel tank. Twin, selectable Holley fuel pumps. Slide-in receiver and tie-down tabs at rear to secure a cooler or slide-in rack for extra carrying capacity (not supplied). Tabs up front for potentially towing behind an RV. Quick-release steering wheel. Seatbelts. Even interior lights!

Always garaged with dustcover. No accidents, and very low mileage- probably under 1,500 miles. Original tires look brand new.

Clean and correct title. First registered in 2005, as Special Construction (SPCNS), and that's what's on the pink slip. It has the matching CHP VIN tag riveted on the frame. For California smog purposes, per SB100, it’s considered a 1960, so is exempt from testing. (Google SB100 if you’re in California and not familiar with this.) It has the BAR sticker showing it as exempt on the frame. It was done right, with all the required inspections for registration as a new car, not like some that skirt around the regulations by pretending to be a 1923 car. I have a bunch of documentation on parts, paint, inspections and registration.

Original owner/builder- one of a dozen or so cars I built for the fun of assembly, but never drove much. Probably under 100 miles/year nowadays, though I do start them every few weeks just to keep fluids moving. I drove it a few miles last weekend and it ran like a rocket, but as it’s been little used in the last few years it deserves some TLC. I'd recommend giving it a good going-over, changing fluids and checking hoses etc. The first seven photos were taken during construction, but the last nine on the deck in my back yard were taken today (6/2/18) after I gave it a half-hearted wash and show its current condition (not much difference!).

Would cost a lot more than the starting price to build, of course. But now they’re just taking up valuable garage space now, so they need to go. If you want more photos of any area of it, just ask. I can also take a video of the car driving up and down the street, and the engine running if you want.
