1991 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit/Spur/Dawn Long Wheelbase Description
This is a No Reserve auction. Highest bidder will win this car.
A supreme pleasure to own and drive.Built for the Japanese ambassador to the USA in California. Purchased in 1998 by a Dallas, Texas businessman. After his passing in 2009, the Rolls Royce remained stored in his garage for about three years. In 2012 a full servicing was performed at the Bentley service center. All upgrades and repairs were done to meet Texas safety standards. These are the only repair records I received when I bought the car in 2012.The original owners manual is in the glove box.Currently inspected through January 2018
The engine, transmission and drive train function as they should and seem to be in great mechanical shape, including the automatic ride system. The black leather with red piping is in fine condition with no holes or cuts. The Everflex roof looks good with no bubbles, cuts or broken stitching.Climate control blows cold air and hot heat. All electric windows, mirrors, lights and locks operate as they should. The Silver Spur II is a long wheelbase car designed with more back seat leg room. This allows room for the semi-reclining electric back seats. The front passenger seat needs the seat control-memory box replaced or repaired. The seat is in a comfortable position and can be moved electrically (with some bother) until fixed. All other electric seats are working as they should, including the front seat heaters.
As a previous daily driver, she has some slight dings which can sometimes be seen when viewed from the proper angle. The simplest ding to find is on the rear bumper trim, and it's not easily noticed from a standing view (see pic). When viewed up close, the paint is beginning to show its age in some areas, but it still shines well overall. Varnish on drivers door wood trim could use refinishing.(see pic)The original phone system was removed, allowing extra storage in the front and rear arm rests and trunk.Stored under the trunk is a full size spare tire with matching wheel. In the trunk are tools needed to change tires, plus a complete Rolls Royce tool kit.
I no longer have space for the the Rolls. Rather than keep it at a secure storage facility with limited access, I have decided to sell.Located in zip code 75098 about 10 miles northeast of Dallas, Tx.
Please remember this Rolls Royce was built 26 years ago and has some expected blemishes not listed here.Factory air horns are one of many nice features too numerous to list here.
