This Crewe, England, built 1991 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur II LWB Saloon (Vin# SCAZN02D4MCX34693, chassis NAM34693) was originally purchased new as a personal limo by a billionaire who was an ambassador from several African countries to the United Nations in New York. It has been owned and carefully driven and maintained by two different Rolls-Royce Owners Club members for the last 16 years. It has been displayed at several Southeast RROC Regional Meets and a National RROC Annual Meet. It is only 62,500 original miles from new.
Per the Rolls-Royce build sheets, exterior color is Dark Oyster Grey, leather seats are Mushroom with Mushroom Piping, carpets are Granite Mushroom with dark green sheepskin overlays. It has steel roof, not Everflex, so no problems with deterioration of the Everflex. All original equipment including two car phones, one in front and one in back! Original radio included but former owner replaced radio and sound system with higher quality system.
Leather, walnut burl trim, carpets and all of interior (including stunning walnut inlay picnic tables in rear) are in excellent condition. The interior is truly beautiful, impressive and virtually in showroom condition. Chrome and exterior paint are in good/very good condition, with one tiny nick on edge of bonnet. Mostly garaged or covered throughout its history. No rust or salt damage.
This car was featured on the cover of the book Buy a Classic Rolls-Royce or Bentley by Lan Sluder (available in paperback or Kindle on Amazon). NOTE: The Kindle eBook version of this book is FREE on Amazon September 24-28.
My wife and I have had a good deal of work done to this “Proper Motor Car” over the past several years at Bentley High Point and at a private mechanic with expertise in Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars, including new A/C compressor, new hydraulic rear struts and gas cylinders, replacement of all hoses and belts per 60K service, new tires, new battery, new power seat batteries, brake work, tune-ups and more. Everything runs and works well including A/C, heat, power windows, power seats and automatic seat settings. (The external temp gauge does tend to register a little high.)
The time-proven 6.75L V-8 engine runs as strong as ever. As is not unusual with the Spurs and Spirits of this era I occasionally have to top off the mineral oil in the hydraulic system but brakes work well and last dealer checkup showed correct specs. It rides like a dream.
All keys, original manuals, build sheets and maintenance records included. Good title in hand and clean CarFax (no accidents, structural damage, odometer rollback, airbag deployment or other issues reported). Offered as is, where is in Asheville, NC.
Is this motor car absolutely perfect? No, but it could be a daily driver as is or with a littleadditional work could be a show winner. It could also be used as an “event” car for weddings, proms, VIP transport, etc. Any time I drive it I get a lot of compliments on the condition of the car, people wantingto take selfies with it, sit in it, etc.
Priced to sell at only $16,500.
This isway to get into a future collectible Rolls-Royce that originally sold for nearly $200,000 (about $350,000 in today's dollars.) Only 1,658 of these Spur II motorcars were manufacturedbetween 1990 and 1993. This solid, handcraftedRolls-Roycehas many years of useful life left in it. You and your vehicle will attract attention wherever you go. You'll feel and look like a million bucks for the price of a used Chevy or Camry.
Located in Asheville, NC. For more info, email the private owner Lan Sluder through eBay. I'll be glad to try to answer any questions you have and can arrange for you or your mechanic to inspect it.
