The Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II was styled by John Blatchley. Between 1975 and 1980, just 2,135 examples were produced. The cars came equipped with rack-and-pinion power steering, automatic transmission, advanced air conditioning, and more.Rolls-Royce considered offering a more exclusive, long-wheelbase Phantom VII model based on the Silver Shadow, but production was not pursued and no prototypes were built. Instead, a long-wheelbase variant, some 4 inches longer to provide additional rear seat legroom, was offered.Initially, the long-wheelbase model did not have... a separate name, but in 1976, with the introduction of the Silver Shadow II, the longer car was dubbed the Silver Wraith II.The Wraith II is identified by all alterations found on the Silver Shadow II and additionally an Everflex-covered roof (also available as an option on the Silver Shadow II), a smaller, more formal rear window and different wheel covers.Only 2,135 were built representing a tiny fraction of the number of Shadows built.Equipped with its original 6.75 liter V-8 engine, this Wraith II is in near showroom condition. It has been fastidiously maintained by ownership and all mechanical and cosmetic aspects have been carefully attended to.The paint is several years old and looks nearly perfect. The trim and brightwork is in excellent condition. The interior is perfect with sumptuous leather and wood throughout. The car has a couple of tasteful upgrades including a Nardi performance wood steering wheel and a modern touch screen radio with phone interface.Mechanically, this Rolls is fit as a fiddle with full records and maintenance by current ownership.
