1989 Saab 900 Converible Manual Turbo w/ Carlsson Airflow Body Kit
1989 Saab 900 Convertible Description
This was our 2nd Saab 900 rebuild/restoration over the past 3 years. I purchased this car about 2 years ago in TN. The car had a blown motor, automatic transmission, and damaged front bumper. It has been one of my daily drivers for the past 1.5 years (during good weather). I have driven it appx 10,000 miles and made 4 or 5 800+ mile trips. The cars handles great, drives well, shifts well, has all the lower and boost most people would want or need, and is a blast to drive. Car redlines at 85mph at 6000 rpm coming out of 3rd gear (I have not tried to redline it in 4th or 5th gears). The car has no major issues and I would drive it anywhere. It has a few some minor fluid leaks, which I have been addressing over time (just replaced oil cooler lines). I have 2 other classic 900's. I do not have indoor storage and the car is too nice to leave covered for the winter, thus I am offering for sale.

Done Before I Purchased the Car:
- Dealer installed Carlsson Airflow Kit with Saab Rear Bumper (front Saab bumper was destroyed)
- Carpet replaced with non-oem carpet
- Cat removed (up to buyer to reinstall a cat if necessary)
- Seats have all been redone with a high grade vinyl (holds up better than leather). I will swap seats to leather for n/c if buyer desires leather instead.
What Couid Still Be Done:
- Cruise control does not work
- Interior dome light not working (wiring issue somewhere)
- Eventually the 2 side seals on the transmission will need to be replaced (appx $500 if you pay a mechanic). Small leak so I check gear oil every 1000 miles.
- Windshield pillar covers are warped (I will included 2 that are almost new looking)
- The few minor surface rust areas (inside door jams) can be easily repaired with a color match spray can.
- There are a few very minor dents on the hood, but they are very hard to see unless the light is just right.
I've tried to cover everything noteworthy about the car. My son (mechanic) and I have done almost all of the work, and I would hate to see the bill for this restoration if I had to pay for all of the labor installed.
Car is for sell locally, thus the selelr reserves the right to cancel the listing.
