Just finished a comprehensive going over.

media blasted to bare metal chassis, no undercoating& painted. no rust or accident damage stronger V4 chassis w/ full bolt-in roll cage.

retro fitted with race prepped 3 cylinder 2 stroke 850 cc 80+ HP, oil injected 1mm over bore engine. shaved Monte Carlo head, MC rebuilt race full web roller crank. new forged 2 ring pistons.

rebuilt water pump, lightened flywheel, good motor & trans mounts. new hoses & belt.

runs on pump 92 octane gas, runs better on race octane fuels.

Rare ex Jack Lawrence Motor Sport Service SAAB Special II close ratio web case trans, 4.67 ratio, with limited slip differential in excellent, smooth shifting floor mounted shifter. great syncro action, freewheel neutered. all clutch hydraulics rebuilt.

Lightweight plexiglass removeable rear window as is front windshield. door glass & regulators removed but included w/car. heater removed also.

Monte Carlo 4 bolt hubs provide many more wheel design options over other SAAB 5 bolt rims. new front disc brake rotors, rebuilt V4 calipers, new rear wheel cylinders & shoes. all new stainless braided brake lines. brake master rebuilt w/brass sleeve insert. excellent working parking brake.

All new front A-arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings & axle boots. front & rear sway bars, lowered springs, KONI adjustable shocks @ each corner. quick ratio rack & pinion steering. quick release MOMO leather rim steering wheel.

Racing spec expansion chamber & two exhaust systems included, ( one w/rear exit muffler & one straight pipe side exit= loud ! ).

Oversized cross flow radiator w/ electric cooling fan. accurate working temperature gauge.

Starter, alternator, volt regulator in proper working order. recent full size battery securely mounted in covered box. BOSCH blue coil. new BOSCH MGV260T31S spark plugs, new cap, points & condenser. mechanical only Sonett spec distributor.

Uniqu, correct & very rare race prepared SOLEX DHW 40 triple side draft carbs w/ screened velocity stacks. extra main jets sizes included. new dual BENDIX blue dot electric fuel pumps w/ original Sonett float bowl system. new hoses. 10 gallon trunk mounted foam lined safety fuel cell. ALL systems cleaned, flushed with new fluids of course.

Two lightweight fiberglass racing bucket seats, both w/ full racing 5 point competition harness seat belts. padded head rest & roll cage bars.

Electric tachometer, simple race wiring harness w/ toggle switches. two labeled race approved battery master switches. quick release dash top for E-Z access. 7 panel WINK mirror, dual outside chrome race mirrors. all body panels, front & rear windows are designed for quick removal as is complete roll cage. current numbers & stripes are vinyl removable.

Tires are currently stock, oversized street radials mounted on wide steel rims ( 5 ). not race tire equipped at this time as tires are a personal choice and vary by sanctioning bodies' rules = your choice.

Sale includes complete car with extra fiberglass body panels ( V4 hood if you want to revert back to the FORD V4 engine, which this chassis is designed for ). extra windshield, stock wiring harness, door panels, window glass & regulators. ( side doors have operational key locks ), & other street equipment.

Also, with auction sale: extra, complete unassembled '66-'67 style MONTE CARLO, matching case #'s, oil injected engine. 70.5 mm bores w/ worn stock MC pistons. I leave it up to the next owner to decide what piston/bore to go to. ( can go in .5mm increments as high as 74mm overbore). new pistons available on EBAY by DONNABELLE2000, reasonably priced, USA made. correct MC head, lightened flywheel, oil pump, intake manifold, downdraft carbs & exhaust manifold & misc parts included. all front of engine pulley & drive parts too. plus an unused, race spec rebuilt full web Monte Carlo roller crank by BUD CLARK comes with this complete spare engine.

And more: a second matching #'s MC '66-'67 engine block too. standard non MC head, stock flywheel w/ some misc extra parts. no crankshaft or pistons. ( so, one complete race engine in car, one complete extra engine and one extra block ), all in auction sale w/ car.

A 2 stroke powered SONETT is unique ! sure, anyone can prepare & race a Spridget, MG, Triumph, Alfa, Porsche... how many people are up to the challenge of racing ( competitively !) one of these rare Swedish built, super handling, well balanced, deep braking, front wheel drive, faster than you thought little adrenalin pumping bombs ?!

The unique two stroke triple, high winding sound is totally "Pur Sang". people are always commenting on it as they have never seen one at all, especially on a race track. they often ask how many revs it is pulling. as a two stroke, the 6200 RPM actually sounds like 12 thousand as your ear is fooled by the double sound a 2 stroke makes. wear your ear plugs & paddock well away from anyone else if you want to be friendly...

I have raced this car in totally stock, unmodified condition back in the 1990's ( SEARS POINT Ca., see last photo ) with somewhat competitive results, then mothballed in storage for 20+ years, as I was offered to drive someone else's car. now race prepped for someone new to run & enjoy as I am getting too old & busted up to comfortably race drive anymore...

Recent track-day tested & wow! this little sucker is MUCH quicker than my earlier days. just wish I could run it now.
