1962 Shelby Cobra Clone. First generation slab side Fender car. Fiberglass 2000 series body with flat hood, standard doors, LeMans Top with LeMans half trunk in back. Correct fiberglass trunk tray for spare. Fiberglass foot boxes. Chassis was made with four inchround main rails, standard birdcage steel tube above. Adjustable tubular H type arms in rear, tubular adjustableA armsin front. QA1 coil over shocks. Manual rack n pinion. Cobra wood wheel, 1962 VW turn signal hub, MG steering column.Cobra Bell crank throttle box with 3 bar linkage. Lucas square wiper motor-single speed. 1992 Ford 302, roller cam, new double roller timing chain. Offy Ford intake, Holley 600cfm dual feed double pumper mech secondary, manual choke. Holley red electric pump with regulatorat 4psi. 271hp to under car exhaust. Put 6 miles on car sat morn, did a plug read and all plugs are golden to clean. Carb working up to speck. Borg Warner5 spd box with RAM hydraulic bearing, clutch and billet wheel. Hurst shifter with Black knob. Lincoln MK8 Aluminum IRS Diff with 3:08 posi. Diff cover modified with tig welded oil fill fitting. RCV performanceAxles/CV joints good for 700hp. Lincoln MK8 5x4.5 rear Disc 5 lug rotors with 1993 Cobra Mustang calipers. Front 5x4.5 lug 1986 mustang SVO big piston calipers and rotors. 15x6 steel wheels with 215s in the rear and 205s tires in the front. An additional set of 15x6 "True Wire" 72 spoke wire wheels with knock-offs and adapters. 215,205 tires also. Standard street car dash withglove box. Haywire TA harness, all circuits custom cut and terminated to length with heat shrink sealed ends. Twin Italian Air Horns with compressor.Lokar chrome parking brake in the correct location. Nick Acton AC ace peddle box assembly with AC peddlepads. Master cylinders front/rear brakes with 3/4" bore. Factory five bucket seats with 1960s style aviation belts. 289 front mount roll bar bolts to frame as per. Bought this car as a body and chassis 4 years ago. after many late nights and busted knuckles, it's pretty close. Work left to complete car is as follows.
Aluminum panels need to be finished including the trunk, cockpit, and front wheel wells. The trans tunnel is done as well as the floors. Glove box needs the cover made and hinged. Side vents need to be cut in. Early cars did not have so I left them out. Buyer will need to purchase them if installing. Titled by the state of use. And painted your choice of color.
