1939 Studebaker Commander -- Description

Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 18th year in the classic and muscle car business. Here's a shape you won't see every day. Check out this wild 1939 Studebaker Coupe Express pickup. This is a fully engineered Street Rod that can be purchased as a complete package, but it is no relation to the 'leak & squeak' kit cars of the past. These vehicles require a donor S-10 Chevrolet pickup, therefore ensuring the enhanced safety of a certified cab and frame. Kreative Rodwerks of Phoenix, AR, manufactures these trucks that are based on a 1939 Studebaker Street Rod that had the top chopped 4.5, an 8 bed channel, a 6 front-clip channel, the bed sectioned 4, and a rolled and filled bed. This Lemon Ice (PPG) head-turner is powered by a Chevrolet LT1 350 V8 fortified with headers, a Griffin aluminum radiator, and an ECM programmed by Street & Performance of Mena, Arkansas. This potent mill is backed by an extremely robust yet smooth-shifting 4L80E automatic overdrive transmission. The show-quality chassis is equally impressive with features including a fully painted and detailed frame, front and rear Firestone air bag suspension with in-cab controls, Energy Suspension polyurethane performance components, and Billet Specialties wheels wrapped in Nitto Rubber (225/50R17f;275/50R17r). Inside, you'll find amenities including power steering, power front disc brakes, power windows, power 6-way driver's seat, air conditioning, custom leather interior, tilt steering column, a Grant wood steering wheel, and Classic Instruments gauges. Even the bed is special, sporting fresh chrome and real mahogany. More coming soon... to see a video of this truck go to YZcNn-MFPI0
