1947 Studebaker M5 Description

Here is a 1947 Studebaker M-5 haft ton pick up it is restorable I got it to restore or make a good driver out of . It sat in a barn for about 25 years The other owner parked the truck and started to work on it He removed the front clip and motor and transmission was out and rebuilt.. I was told by his son motor had a complete rebuild with new pistons the cost was about $1500 . The transmission was done at the same time it is the 3 speed overdrive hard one to find for a 1947 truck. Motor sat 25 years and is suck now The cab is in real nice shape the bed is solid tailgate is good the bad parts are the fenders. They can be fixed or replace them. I found a place that is making fiberglass fenders for this truck and they look real nice. I have a lot of other toys to work on and might be awhile before I get to this one. would make a good Christmas gift 330/465/0217 Thanks
