1964 Studebaker Avanti Ri R5267
1964 Studebaker Avanti R1 Description
Yes this is Dr Stanley'sAvanti back up for auction. Winning bidder of last auction didn't pay. I also learned a lot from all your questions what is important about this car so I hope I will give better description and pictures this time. The motor rolls over and seems to have good compression. All the glass is in tact. The frame and hog troughs have zero rust that I can see after jacking up the car to take pictures. The body had been off for frame up restore at some point and then put into storage. The frame and troughs had been re-coated from what I can see. So I hope pictures answer ALL the questions! The interior carpet is rough. The seats had mold . I pulled everything out and washed as best as possible. The steering column, front and rear bumpers, hub caps and ash tray and glove box with flip up mirror are all there. There are zip lock bags labeled with what each has in it filled in the trunk. It truly seems to me that all pieces for interior and engine are in the car. The A pillarsare rusted. No rust in the trunkpan or frame or anywhere else I can see. I want to be very clear on the title. The title I have is an open title last signed by the Doc 12/28/2005. It was never transferred because then the doc'ssignature and that linagewould be gone forever as the title would be taken by DMV. Please take this into consideration. I will only transfer title to my name and then into yours if you want that lineage killed after payment has cleared my account. I took this title to the DMV and asked if there would be any problems makingthe transfer. There is NO issues with this title. It would be a mere $125.00 which I would pay but only after payment has beenreceived and cleared into my account. I will accept cash or bank wire transfer for this transaction ONLY. You will pay to have the car hauled away from my garage.
