1962 Studebaker Hawk Description

This is one cool car and ONE of the FIRST 300 Gran Turismo Hawks ever built!
You can call this a barn find as it has been sitting in dry storage since 1992. My elderly friend had a collection of Studebakers, this one being his favorite model. He purchased this car in 1992 with the intent to restore the car, but never got around to it. With a smile on his face, he picked up the car in Kansas City, drove the car home, and then parked it where it sat in his shop for 26 years until now. Car is honest, complete, and unmolested. Mileage shows 12,449. Mileage may not be accurate, but we found a receipt in the glove box showing a fill up in December 1984 at 10,764 miles. This car will turn heads.

Car rolls easily and engine appears to be free. Engine and transmission appear to have never been out of the car. Haven't had the time to try and start it, but it woudn't suprise me if it turned over with a fresh battery and fresh fluids.Typical rocker, floor & trunk rust, but easily fixable. Holes visable in the trunk pan and some fiberglass noted in the drivers side floorpan. All stainless and chrome appear to be present and accounted for. Glass is free of cracks. At some point prior to 1992, the shifter had been switched to a Hurst shifter - extra cool. You can go faster with that white shift knob, right? Additional windshield and passenger rear quarter panel included.
