1954 Studebaker Champion Commander Coupe 2dr.
1954 Studebaker Description
This is the iconic car respected by endless auto aficionados and writers alike. Seen/photographed commonly on the Bonneville Salt Flats and Pan American races. In 1954 Studebaker made drastically less Coupes and Hardtops than in 1953, so this should be more collectible than the previous year. This car is rough, but a shame to waste. One of the few cars that you can dump money into and still have a chance to get your money back out. They sell $15k-25k done and higher with crazy performance parts/modifications. I wanted to swap a few parts with this one and the one I am working on. The hood will be the louvered one. I have an extra rear quarter too. This is an original black car. I have a proper and current Massachusetts title in my name.
Included:1. Extra running 6 cyclinder engine (if desired)2. Correct 60/40 front seat, rear seat, and rear arm/ash tray. (Need redoing)3. Two tone red/white door panels (need redoing)4. 6-8 Dog dish hub caps.5. Extra rear side window6. Extra body frame (if you want it/can take it)7. Extra rear quarter8. Louvered hood (black hood NOT INCLUDED)9. Auto transmission10. Pedals for manual transmission (many convert to modern 4 or 5 speed)11. Misc brake parts and smalls12. Factory glass13. MASS title!!!!
What needs to be done:1. Floors and probably trunk are toasted2. Bottom of doors are rough3. Quarters skins need fixing but can be replaced easily. They split and bolt on, interchangeable with other models/years C/K4. Frame has some blown spots, I can include another frame, or some people use complete new front frames for better performance.5. Front and rear bumper, but Studebaker club member has rechromed ones available very affordable plus other chrome pieces.
Additional:1. I have an extra Commander dash for additional cost if interested. Allows to make a faux Commander V8 model.
This is a big project, so ask questions. I want to see it go to a good AND capable home.
