1963 Studebaker 2R10 Description

I am selling my 1963 Studebaker Avanti R2 that has been completely restored over the past year. The original motor has been professional rebuilt by Wetzel Motors out of Indiana. Jeff is used by many Studebaker enthuses-ts because they know how to rebuild the R2 engines correctly.The car has been repainted in the original Avanti gold with three coats of clear and is absolutely stunning. The interior has been redone along with the carpet both in the cockpit and trunk The car has all new body rubber. All the chrome has been redone and shines like new. The engine has new R2 headers, rebuilt Paxton super charger, rebuilt sealed carter carburetor, new alternator, and new stainless dual exhaust, with the correct Avanti stainless exhaust tips. The front disc brakes have been upgraded with a new Turner disc brake kit along with new tie rod and ball joints. Also all new stainless brake lines and fuel lines. The tires are new and have the correct one inch white walls along with a new set of hub caps which are impossible to find. The torgue boxes and frame are in great shape.The car has all new shocks, belts, hose, clamps, and spark plug wires. The windshield wiper arms are new along with the wiper motor that has been rebuilt and detailed. It looks factory new. The original radio does work. The car came with the following options. 1- Supercharger, 19- automatic, Heavy duty springs front and rear, -Electric windows, Twin Traction, Electric window washer, Radio andAntenna, along with rear speaker. The power steering at some point has beenswappedout for a manual steering box but if you know anything about the original power steering this is not a bad thing. I have on order two Strato-Vue mirrors that will be mounted on the left and right fenders. I also have on order the right front turn indicatorlens.
The Avanti R2 has been under the collectors radar for along time but are increasingly getting the attention that they deserve. These cars were only produced in 1963 and 1964 and are an iconic piece of American car history. If you are looking for really nice example this is worth considering.
