1971 Studebaker Avanti Avanti II Description

1971 Avanti, RQB1634, 110000 miles, White Exterior with Black interior, frame and hog troughs are good as best I can tell. My son and I purchased the car with the intention of restoring it however my sons work requires extensive travel and leaves no time to restore the car. I have owned 20 Avantis since 1969 many that required restoration. The pictures I have attached are somewhat misleading in that they picture the car in a much better light than the actual car. Someone has put a cheap paint job on the car and recovered the seats with non appropriate seat covers. Now for the problems tach, oil pressure gauge do not work. The headliner is missing, the package tray below the rear glass is broken, the spare tire cover is broken and the trunk carpet is missing. The wire wheels and tires are in excellent condition. One of the original Magnum 500 wheels is in the trunk. The rear bumper and one piece of the front bumper need to be rechromed. The car runs fine and drives with caution, poor brakes, someone has placed HEI ignition on it. The exterior mirrors are incorrect and fell off the car as did the interior rear view mirror. The glove box lock is missing and there is no door keys. This item is an excellent restoration project or restomod project in that the body is straight and the underside appears to be in very good condition. I have attempted to describe the vehicle as I would have liked to have had it described when we purchased it.
