1960 Studebaker Champ - NO RESERVE Description

1960 STUDEBAKER CHAMP

NO RESERVE – ESTATE SALE

RARE CHAMP IN EXCELLENT CONDITION

I am selling this truck for my friend’s widow. He passed a few months ago and she needs to downsize her estate. He has several vehicles and this is one the nicest. It will be sold to the highest bidder.

Now for the disclaimer: I am Not a Studebaker expert. Although I appreciate them, I have always been a GM muscle car guy. I do have good knowledge of mechanics so I can talk to that, but don’t know the details of Studebakers.

What I do know is:

The truck was only used for advertisement for his speed shop, so it was not driven a lot. It was driven in parades and to/from car shows. It has been sitting for about 18 months during his illness. I poured a little gas in the carb and she fired right up.

The motor was completely rebuilt and there are receipts. Engine runs like a swiss watch. Clutch works as it should. Transmission shifts smoothly. There are new brake lines on the truck, brakes work, solid peddle, just 1960 technology. The paint is good, not show quality, but shines well and I would not re-paint… it’s good. The interior… MUST have been replaced as it is in excellent condition !!

I don’t know what else to say. It’s a very nice piece of American history in very good driver condition. It WILL be sold to the highest bidder.
