1955 Studebaker Commander Eight custom Description

Rare 1955 Studebaker Commander. I purchased this car in 2005 with the intention of making it into a rat rod. As I worked on it, I gradually found myself building a custom hot rod instead. This vehicle is NOT a completed project and there is work to be done. As is this car is now totally driveable, but has some things still to be worked out. As you can see from the mileage, I have driven this car over 3,000 miles since replacing the engine. The following is a short list of the modifications that I have made to the vehicle:390 FE Engine 400 hpMustang II front suspension, rack and pinion steering, and disc brakesEdelbrock "Performer" intake manifoldFord 4-speed T-10 transmission with 3" drive shaft1963 Hawk twin traction rear end1957 Golden Hawk dashMustang suspended brake and clutch pedalsLokar gas pedalFlaming River stainless steel tilt steering column with custom steering wheelTotal rewire with custom Painless kitBucket seats from 1963 Golden HawkSanderson headers with new stainless steel exhaust system and Flowmaster mufflersAmerican Racing wheels
There are many more improvements that I am not listing; however, I have full documentation for all the parts.
