1955 Studebaker Commander Commander Deluxe Description

1955 Studebaker Commander Deluxe Conestoga v8 3 speed with overdrive. I believe it is the 259 cu in but don’t know for sure. This is a rare barn find and has not been on the road for the last 40 years therefore will need a total restoration. The rockers and lower body areas have rust as does the driver’s side floors. Back seat driver side floor board is the worst while the front drivers floor has very little. Passenger side floors are solid with surface rust and under the front seat the paint is still there. The wagon area behind the back seat as well as the spare tire well is in great condition with no rust. All original interior panels are still in place as is the original floor covering over the spare tire area and tailgate. The headliner is in decent shape with one small tear near the back. When the spare tire floor is raised, the factory hook is still in place and functional. It holds the cover open so the spare can be removed. The tailgate functions as it should and the lock has the key and it works. Passenger door glass is cracked as are both vent windows. All other glass is good. The wagon is missing one hub cap and the ignition switch. I have the stainless strip that is missing on the drivers side quarter panel. It has a radio, under seat heater and defrost heater.
