1952 Studebaker 2R-16a 1.5 ton - complete
1952 Studebaker 2R16A Description
1952 2R-16A. 1.5 ton, 3 speed manual with a 2 speed rear end. Body and frame are in amazing shape. The patina is as awesome as it looks. No rust thru (I could only find a few pin holes in the bottom of the doors). I put in a pic where I hit the worst part of the passenger rocker with a wire wheel. It is complete except for the trim pieces for the hood. Conversion from 6 volt to 12 volt has been started by previous owner. The alternator, coil and headlights are all 12 volt. Some wires are original and some are new. The previous owner said it had a knock 11 years ago, but now it is stuck. It looks like either a rod or crankshaft journal. I don't believe it is the rings. I removed the head and oil pan and it looks really good inside. Clutch works, starter engages (only tried it twice so I would not burn up the starter). Tires are old but in good shape. Comes with a full size spare also in good shape. A few extra parts are pictured. I don't have a way to deliver, but will definitely help you load it onto a trailer. I have a clean WA title. I have a 100% rating for good reason. Please ask questions through ebay or phone. I rarely have my phone on me so text is fine also. If you call and I don't pick up please leave a message and I will call back. Thanks, Joe 818.269.0427. It is listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. UPDATE - The right rear wheel stopped rolling yesterday (Sunday 1/10). Not sure why, but I will not be able to find out before the end of the auction due to work. I will make sure it gets on a trailer if you purchase it.
