1994 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

94 FZJ80 triple-locked 344k$7,000

We bought this beast from the original soccer mom in 2007: never been off road. 10 days later, e were on "poison spider" learning what she can do. We took care of immediate maint, dded armor, ther goodies over the years, nd have driven everywhere having a worry free, reat time! The bug set in, e bought a HJ75, hen a HDJ81, nd suddenly, here's no room in the driveway.

She has a bunch of miles, o if I were keeping her, would do another front-end service (done at 195k), ut in some 4.88s, ebuild the Tcase and trans. Fresh paint. And that's it. The PO smoked the engine at 190k with the PHH and had it rebuilt by the dealer and it's still running strong. Since us, eticulous maint, ostly by Safari Ltd in GJ, CO. No accidents, xcept the PO ran it into a ditch in '96. We have records of every single maintenance item ever performed.

She has the usual problems:
  • It's time for another front end service, irfs still good
  • A few rust spots, ostly on the rear hatch and ARB/Slee armor
  • Colorado pin-stripped paint-job (scratches to you flat-landers)
  • Cracked windshield (usual for CO) and sunroof
  • Pneumatic lifts (rear hatch and hood) need replacing
  • Dinged headlights
  • Peeling clear-coat on hood and roof
  • A few dents, ings, cratches (see the detail pics)

Know issues and future considerations:
  • Transmission and T-case are original (but, t's the A442 bus tranny!)
  • ABS does not work (it wasn't very good anyways)
  • Exhaust leak/rattle under driver door
  • driver door handle snapped off when it was -23F, till usable-ish
  • dog chewed rear door window trim (she hates the car wash)
