Hello, let me start by saying that I realize how stressful it can be to buy anything sight un-seen. I don't think a paragraph & 1 or 2 pictures is enough to accurately describe an item of any kind, let alone a motor vehicle. I understand that you may be in a different state or even a different Country & therefore are unable to come view this RARELand Cruiserin person. I want you to know everything I know about anything I offer for sale. For that reason, my postings tend to be a little on the long side. I also post 24 super sized pictures. Description- THIS IS A HARD TO FIND MODEL!!!!!This Toyota came equipped with factoryfront & rear electric LOCKERS! Very very rare! I am a factory trained Toyota technician. My Father & Uncle are both Master Toyota techs. So, I know a little bit about these amazing vehicles. I purchased this FJ80 ayear ago.It was being driven daily when the previous owner ran it hot.She couldn't afford to fix it & since I knew the truck when it was her daily driver & therefore know it's a solid Cruiser, I snatched it up. I hadplans to turn it into a street legal, rock crawler / mud buggy / Off-Road rig. With very little effort & far less expense, youcouldturn this intoa toy that is way more capable & a lot more fun than a Polaris RZR! Plus thistoy will be street legal all over the World! These Cruisers are capable of covering some of the roughest ground on Earth. Take it coast to coast. Explore South America. Or the Yukon!Many peopletake them on African Safari or to the Australian Outback. They are super tough vehicles! Or just put it back to work in the asphalt jungle! Or many people are using parts fromthis version of the FJ80 to improve their FJ60 or FJ40. You may notice in the background of some of the pictures... I myself have a FJ40. And a 1967 Mustang drag car project. And a 1957 Chevy wagon project. And a 1965 Mustang coupe to fastback conversion project. I just don't have time for this FJ80. But it is definitly a worth while Cruiser. It is absolutely rust free,100% complete & was being female driven daily! The miles are relatively low for a Cruiser of this vintage. It ran as it should & burned no oil all the way up until she ran it hot. She told me that she picked upher kids from daycare & was driving in traffic when she noticed a ticking sound. Then she felt a loss of power. Then it quit & wouldn't restart. She reported no steam or smoke coming from anywhere. When I checked it, the engine would spin freely with the key but sounded like it had no compression. I found that there was no fluid in the radiator or overflow at all. I can see evidence of a leaking water pump.The cam is spinning & in time so the chain didn't jump. All the pistons are moving as they should so no bent or loose rods. There is no water in the oil. I feel that all of the water ran out of the failed pump causing the engine to run hot & badly blow the head gasket. That would explain no steam. The engine has virtually no compression on the first three cylinders. I didn't check the back three as I already knew the head had to come off.

Drivetrain- Thisversion of the FJis powered by the legendary 2.5 liter, in-line 6-cylinder, fuel injected 1FZ-FE gasoline powered engine.Toyota has been building some form of this engine since the early 1960's. They have improved & refined their design over the last decades until finally unveiling their masterpiece with this version. It is one of the most powerful & definitely the most reliable of them all. It performs with all the guts you need to tackle tough terrain, yet still enjoys AMAZING fuel economy!

I am a factory trained Toyota Technician& have personallyserviced cruiserswith well over 700,000 miles that were still going strong without ever having had any major repairs.

Again, I am not certain to what extent this engine is hurt but at this time it is NOT RUNNING & has very little compression.

The transmissions in these Cruisers are as tough as everything else. I have never seen one with a transmission problem, EVER.

You don't see manywith the rare & highly desirable factorylocker option! These lockers ARE working. Even thought the engine will not run, you can operate the locker switch on the dash & hear the lockers engage when the indicator lights up.

Mechanically this entire vehicle seems to be in excellentcondition.

Body & Frame- This is a life long Southern vehicle sold new here in GA at Kelly Toyota. So there is absolutely no rust or corrosion on anything anywhere. The under side of the vehicle isclean &everything is tight & free from corrosion. It is rare to find a rust free Cruiser but this is one! There are several minor dents & dings here & there. Nothing abnormal for a vehicle of this year & mileage. I see no evidence of this Toyota having ever been in a major accident. All the body panels are factory original. As you can see, the paint is presentable. It appears to be thefactory paint job. Like most, there is fading & clouding of the clear on the hood & roof. Again, NOT a cream puff Cruiser but good enough to drive as/is with the motor issue corrected.

Options- It would take me an hour to list of the options found on this Flagship Toyota. With the presence of the extremely rare factory lockers, you can bet that it has EVERY single option you could get in 1994!

Interior- As with the rest of this vehicle, the interior is not perfect. It is average at best. The vehicle was being used by a Mother of three small children so there are stains in the carpet & sticky places from candy & cokes here & there. I feel a good clean-up man could do wonders for this truck. The third row jump seats ARE present & in decent shape. The second row roll-N-tumble seats are in decent shape as well. The front bucket seats are fully functional but the leather is shot on both of them. The headliner is in good condition & not sagging. The dash is not cracked or busted. All of the switches & buttons are present. However, the factory radio is missing. The door panels are also decent. All of the interior plastic trim panels are in place & free from cracks. This is definitely NOT a cream puff Cruiser but it's not any worse off than most I've seen of this year & mileage. If it was running, I would not be embarrassed to drive it daily as/is.

Tires & Wheels- ThisSUV is equipped with a set of factory 15 inch, alloy wheels. All four are ingood condition! No major rash. All tires are matching, wearing evenly & still have 50-70% tread life remaining.The factory spare is still in place. The factory jack & tool kit are missing.

Title- I have a clean, clear, fully transferable GA title on this vehicle. You can transfer ownership right now.
