1980 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Bj40 Landcruiser Diesel Jeep Description

1980 Toyota BJ40 Land Cruiser Diesel - like FJ40 but Diesel - known to run forever and get over 20 MPG! This one has the ultra dependable 4 cylinder B engine - This vehicle was importedfrom Costa Rica, where it was restored by a local Doctor with OEM parts, professionally repainted and it is in exceptional condition - solid body with no rust - really nice paint - manual locking hubs - original 16" split rims with bias ply tires - chrome front bumper with bumperettes. Original headliner - original Toyota front floor mats.
Things I personally have done:Brand new BFG KO2's on brand new stock 15" rims with OEM lugnuts and new OEM hubcaps - new OEM sunvisors - new water pump- new wheel cylinders x 8 - new stainless steel brake lines - New Pro-Comp Shocks - New Interstate Battery - new OEM steering wheel cover - All new fluids including : front and rear diffs, front knuckles, oil, transmission, transfer case. New OEM Air Fiter, Oil Filter and Fuel Filter.
Everything works great on this awesome classic truck with unknown miles - odometer not working but pictures tell the story - Drive it anywhere, although a little slowly...;) Top speed is about 65-70 but it much prefers 58-60 mph. Interior in excellent condition - original headliner - original vinyl on most seating surfaces, original jump seats in back of truck.
About this truck:I personally went to Costa Rica and met up with my friend David from CostaRicaRaft.com to help with translation and started to look at Land Cruisers throughout San Jose and surrounding areas. I looked at a lot of dogs... Beat up old Land Cruisers with no value to me. I finally met a Doctor with a love for classic cars..., finally someone I had some faith in, while in Costa Rica. He was the chief forensics doctor at the State hospital and he met us in a brand new Range Rover - A far cry from other experiences thus far in CR... Back at his house (more like a compound with 3 homes) he had an insanely restored 40's pick up and a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser (the ones we don't get here in the states). I trusted this guy... He had 2 Land Cruisers for sale, and they were the 2 best that I had seen the entire trip. A white 79 you can see in my garage, and this tan 1980. I bought them both!
This 1980 was restored in Costa Rica by this Doctor with all OEM parts - Frame on Restoration I would say - New paint - Frame painted - Split rims refinished - new seal for the hard top - new badges and more I'm sure I have forgotten.
I then personally imported this truck to Miami and restored it more (see above) - Paid the Maritime freight, Tow Trucks, Customs, Agents of all sorts - It was epic. Then had it shipped to West Virginia and registered it there and then personally drove it from there to my parents house in Richmond Va with no issues. I have ALL import paperwork as well - Now the Valid West Virginia registration can be transferred and registered in any state easily.
I bought Three Land Cruisers total - I am keeping the white 79 for myself - I love it! The other two trucks are for sale as I can not drive them all.
