1974 Toyota Celica Description
Hi, up for sale is a 1974 Toyota Celica ST. I am posting this car for my neighbor who is the original owner. She is getting older now and needs and automatic car to get around town.
This car is being sold AS IS, and will need a lot of TLC. However, this is a great starting point for any enthusiast who is willing to put in the time. The car runs, but runs rough and will most likely need a lot of work to be reliable. The car was in an accident years ago when another driver backed into the car, but the car was repaired by a reputable shop, and it still retains a clean title.
I tried to take as many pictures of the car as possible to give an idea of the shape and condition of the car. From what I can tell, there is very little rust underneath due to it being driven in Northern California all its life.
The buyer will be responsible for pick-up. No returns will be accepted. Cash only, no Paypal or checks please. As the seller, I reserve the right to cancel any bidders with a low feedback rating. If you have any questions please ask. Thank you for looking!
On Apr-09-16 at 14:46:46 PDT, seller added the following information:There has been a lot of interest in the car and I talked to the owner to clarify some things:
The car was backed into the front driver-side fender years ago. The fender was replaced, and repainted. If you look at my pictures you can tell that the paint on that fender is not as faded compared to the rest of the car.
From what I can tell, the glass is all in good condition, with no obvious cracks that I could see.
The owner told me that as far as she knows the heater and defroster work well, but the air-conditioner hasn't blown cold for some time.
I also want to remind people that this a project car. It has been sitting for some time and will need more than just basic maintenance to make it road worthy again. It would not be able to be driven on the freeway as-is, and probably wouldn't even make it around town without it stalling. The tires will all need to be replaced, and the battery will probably need to be replaced as well. The whole reason the owner is selling the car is because she cannot afford to have a shop restore it for her. Please take all of this into consideration before making you bid. Thank you very much.
