1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 Description

I rescued this FJ not too long ago in a farm yard under an apple tree out in N/E Pa. My father and I had hopes to restore the FJ. But after strong consideration, my pop and I determined that the project will be too much for us due to our health. Although we greatly enjoyed the rescuing of this FJ, it breaks our hearts to know we would not be able to restore ourselves. So this is why we are letting her go to the next set of hands to fulfill the task. It appears that all the parts are there except the front seats do not lookoriginal and the rear tire rack is not there. The FJ has all its bones but needs body/metal work obviously, mechanical not so sure. The gentleman I purchased her from, assured me that she was running when he parked her there, and thats where she sat for the next 5 years. The motor does turn, the axles spin, trans feels correct. When I picked her up, I had to break free the brakes, so I just removed the pads/shoes. Great restoration project for someone that has the room, time and health. Wehave two out of three, lol. We have all the parts such as grill screen,headlight housing, rearbenchs, all vent and air ducts, seats, lights(not original), skid plate, diamond plates for corner panels and under door jams, too much too list.
