Toyota Corolla Alltrac Wagon
1989 Toyota Corolla Alltrac Wagon DX Description
I purchased this car in 2015 with 106,675 mi. and had all work performed by my local mechanic....It has been my daily driver and been fantastic... I have just moved on to another project and time to let someone else enjoy this neat vehicle.... I currently have 118,739 on the odometer and car is off the road, mileage will stay the same. All major work has been performed in the last 5,000 miles.CV Axles/ Water Pump and Timing Belt/ Alt., power steering and AC belts at 113k.Car has 4 new tires.Car has 2 yr. old batter, the car has tach and intermittent wiper which I installed. There is no cruise control as car did not come stock with cruise option. The locking differential works fine although you will rarely ever need with this car..Alltrac Wagons are renowned for their traction ability in snow... This is the automatic transmission coupled with the 4AFE Engine 1.6L.These engines are well documented in reaching 350k to 400k in milage..I have recently tuned up the car, so it has new plugs, rotor and cap, air filter etc..It was just received alignment from kost tire. new tie rod end also installed so car is tight..There is nothing left to mechanically do to the car...I will be putting a new shift knob on this before it leave, should be here shortly.. , note. because I installed a custom console, the overdrive button will be located around the console not exactly sure where just yet. simple mod and last one to perform... If you know these cars and what comes stock for a console you will understand why I put my own in the vehicle.
Now onto know defects:
Drivers door handle on outside is a little loose. plastic on inside of door broke on one side .It still functions perfectly.... They can be had for 10 to 15 bucks..There are two small burn holes in drivers seat from the previous owners.Radio will need to be replaced. Its old toyota and barely works. one of the last things I just did not get to.There are three or four cracks on top of the dash. toyota plastics were not great during this era... There are several options to fix, all reasonable. They make a plastic fit cap that pops in right over the top, They make a velcro strap type mat for $30. I have also seen the actual entire dash pad for sale. all of these on ebay .The AC will need to be recharged.. I will include the kit to recharge and change over to the new R134.The system had pressure on i, so I am sure there were no leaks...There is a small area of very light surface rust on driver side rear fender well.... This will need to be addressed soon... It is very light now but if car stays in north east it will spread.... Toyota steel for this era of vehicle very prone to rust... some corrosion x or other like product will stop it cold...Battery is strapped into battery box as seen in pics, only because the battery I bought was too big for the bracket holder to work.. It will be included. The back passenger side lower quarter had been hit as noted in the carfax. The body work was not perfect, just a little wave to it... lol...The Steering wheel plastic cowl for the turn signal and wiper control is also missing.. Toyota plastics again. It just fell apart... It is a two piece deal upper and lower that screws together. They can also be found easily.. There are lots of yards from Colorado to the west coast that have these cars for parts..
These are the defects best of my knowledge.... Any Questions will be answered promptly, just shoot me an email.....
I will be available to help assist in loading car, these cars only weigh about 2650lbs..Cost of shipping vehicle in Buyer Responsibility..
Thanks and Happy Bidding!!
