This clean little FJ40 Land Cruiser has been living the Florida retiree lifestyle with the prior owner, and spent most of its time cruising the beach, running to Sanibel and Captiva for lunch, or hitting the local car shows and cruise nights!

A solid body and frame, clean interior, mild lift, new rims and tires, and a great running power train all come together in one easy to own and operate machine the whole family can enjoy.

Upgraded just enough to make it a comfortable, reliable, and ready to go machine, this 1977 FJ40 is a Florida titled and registered truck with just over 19,200 miles (31,018KM) showing on the odometer.

The green metallic finish is in very good condition, and shows glossy and bright all around. Since it was built to be used and enjoyed, the finish will show some typical blemishes from normal use, but as you can see in the 120 photos below, NOTHING that takes away from the overall look of it.

Body is solid, and I have a taken my trusty 4" square felt-covered magnet over the entire painted surface of the FJ and it stuck like glue. No signs of crushed up beer cans or other scrap metal to be found.

Custom fiberglass fender flares look fantastic, and keep debris from coming up to the cabin when cruising the dirt roads.

A custom front bumper not only looks great, but provides a massive brush guard for protection and has room fro two additional lights if you want to add them.

The overhead light bar carries 6 big auxiliary lights to show you the way when its dark outside, but easily fold up and out of the way should you want to fold the windshield down.

Rear bumperette are in good condition, and new tail lamps help people see you from behind when cruising in the dark.

Rear plate mount has functional lights, and the beefy rear spare tire carrier hold a brand new FUEL wheel wrapped with a new 35" Mud Claw tire to match the four installed on the Cruiser.

Spare swings away correctly, and the dual tail gate doors open to access the lined storage cubby behind the rear seat.

Upfront, the black grill bezel with mesh screen surrounds two new headlamps, and the front bib works as it should.

The TOYOTA top is in good condition, and all the snaps are working on it all around. The windows are pretty clean and issue-free for plastic windows, and the sides and rear all roll up and down easily with attached hold straps.

Door curtains are in great shape, and the plastic windows on them show like new thanks to limited use in the sunny Florida weather! All snaps work on them too, and the dual zippers make taking them up of down a breeze.

Side body armor has the side steps built right in, so it looks great and helps everyone get inside easier too!

35x12.50x15 tires are brand new, with less than 300 miles, and cover the brand new FUEL black and polished rims nicely.

Landcruiser emblems are clean and nice, and riveted into place so they don't come off.

TRD and Sport decals on each of the half-doors are just stickers, and can easily be removed if you don't like them.

Pop open the hood and you see a clean and neat engine bay area with the original 2F 6-cylinder motor.

With only approximately 19,200 miles on the engine since new, it is hardly broken in, and a recent valve job done by the prior owner allowed time for a compression test showing 150 on all cylinders before it was reassembled.

It starts easily, idles cleanly, doesn't stutter, and does not smoke or leak fluids.

Clutch travel is spot-on, and take up is smooth with a clean engagement.

It shifts through each gear easily up or down, and power delivery is smooth and seamless.

I have personally driven it about 125 miles here in town, and down to the beach, and I think it is a blast to cruise in! Power steering makes parking lot maneuvers a breeze for anyone, but the steering never feels sloppy or loose, even at 50mph.

Brakes were upgraded to disc front units, and together with the rear drums, they scrub off speed smoothly and easily.

Cooling system keeps temperatures right where they should be, and we got stuck in the usual SnowBird beach traffic for 40 minutes without it ever making a fuss.

Electrical is all in order, and wired neatly.

Chassis is solid and clean, and shows nicely considered the vehicle is driven regularly. It has a 4" lift, coil-over shocks and leafs for a smooth ride without much body roll, and it feels solid when cruising around at 50mph in town.

4wd system works as it should, and it has recent locking hubs as well as a service done to the transfer case to insure that you can get out of whatever mess you get into without issue. I have not taken it off-road, but driving it in the grass shows that both low and hi 4wd engage quickly and easily.

Exhaust is recent, and runs out to a CB muffler with chrome tail pipe that looks as nice as it sounds.

Interior has the original floor liner which is in fair condition, and does show signs of use, but is fully serviceable for its purpose. It covers a clean and rust free floor that was completely Rhino Lined prior to paint for longevity.

A full roll cage protects everyone inside, and looks good with the top off too.

Front and rear seats were custom made for the FJ, and are covered in black leather-look marine grade vinyl with custom color-matched stitching that looks great! There are no signs of any damage or disrepair on the seat material either.

Dash is clean and painted to match, and all the gauges work as they should including the odometer, which is in Kilometers.

A GRANT steering wheel looks perfect in the FJ, and the leather wrapping it matches the door panels and seats nicely.

Factory shifters for the transmission and 4wd all look and work great.

E-Brake works as it should.

Door panels and dash upper and lower trim panels are in clean and neat condition, with matching black vinyl.

Glove box opens and closes and has a good liner. Ashtray also works like it should, although the prior owners don't smoke, and it is doesn't appear that anyone else has smoked in it either.

A modern AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo is installed and sounds great through the quad stereo speakers.

Original fuel cell under the passenger seat is in great condition, and a full set of clean TOYOTA floor mats covers up most of the flooring.

It is a good-looking, great driving, and eye-catching FJ40 that will continue to be a fun cruiser for the next owner.
