You're looking at a very nice example of an Ironman Ivan Stewart pit truck. It's in remarkable condition over all, osmetically it is in beautiful condition, nd mechanically it is extremely sound, t should be, t only has 82,000 original miles on it. Everything has been inspected, nd repaired as needed. For example, he brakes had some pedal pulsation so the front hubs were disassembled, otors turned, ubs were greased, nd new brake pads. Engine oil is new, nd coolant is fresh as well. Major tune up just completed, ew cap, otor, nd ngk plugs. Chassis was greased completely, nd new tires were installed. Clutch was just completely gone through as well, ot a bargain clutch job, ew fly wheel, ressure plate, isc, hrow out bearing, ilot, lutch master, nd slave cylinder gone through as well. The exhaust from the catalytic converter back has been replaced. No expense has been spared on this truck to keep it in top running condition. The truck has never had any other mechanical mods like lift kits, versized tires, r engine mods of any sort.
In regards to the exterior appearance, he truck is the original color, nd the red, range, nd yellow sections are vinyl. The body is remarkably straight, lthough there are very minor dings, nd blemishes here and there. There is no rust on the truck, op or bottom. It is a California truck, nd always has been so it's dry, nd rock solid. All the glass is original, long with rear slider, he lock on rear slider works. The interior is remarkably original, ut is still VERY beautiful. The carpet is pretty much perfect still. Plastics are all in great shape, indows go up and down very nicely, nd rubber trims exterior are great still, nd original. Doors open, nd close with an as new feel as well. I recently lubed all the locks, nd one key works everything. It's never had locks, r ignition cylinders changed out. If you want factory original, nd still beautiful, his IS your truck. The truck is quit amazing over all, nd will not disappoint.
Being an SR5 truck, t has the nicer trim, auges, nterior, tc. This truck is also a factory option one year only straight axle WITH fuel injection. Only a smaller percentage of these trucks had the optional EFI in 85', nd this one being an extra cab short bed SR5 5 speed makes it the most desirable of them all. With this truck in fabulous original condition, would not hesitate to drive absolutely anywhere. It starts, tops, nd drives beautifully. It leaks nothing, nd gets more stairs then a Lamborghini.
