I am incredibly pleased to offer up for bidding this stunning and original Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 wagon. It was purchased brand new by the original owner in 1985 from the Toyota dealer and has always been a 2nd car used to go on family trips up north and to the beach and back. It has never been in any sort of accidents or had anything repainted at all. Both the exterior and interior are 100% stock (with the exception of the aftermarket radio). I would rate the condition of the exterior at a 9.5 out of 10 based on the fact that there are no dents or scratches to speak of and everything is original and is virtually 99.5% rust free (please see the pics for minor surface rust, not cancer). The interior I would also rate as a 9.5 out of 10 with a tiny split in the driver seat. Since the car was garaged 100% of the time, the dash and everything else is free and clear of any cracks or damages. This being said, I will proceed with the full condition of the car and I will start with the bad.
THE BAD:
After full assessment of a 3rd party mechanic, we have found that the car make an excellent daily driver as-is. Like any unrestored car 30+ years old, it could use some love here and there. Since it has 2-3 oil leaks, my mechanic has recommended a full sealing of the motor and its' immediate components. This would require removal and re-sealing of the motor itself. He has valued the preservation and repair at $1200 parts and labor. Next would be a rebuilding of the transmission as it does have a "whine" constantly that (to me) is inherent of a vehicle this age. The trans shifts fine and otherwise would be good for a lot more miles, but if you're looking to bring this thing back to its' original glory, you may want to address it.
THE GOOD:
The truck has been garaged and babied since new. Never had any major mechanical issues and (most importantly) doesn't have any cancerous rust issues. You are bidding on a CLEAN CANVAS to make it whatever you want: An offroad machine or a classic, original daily driver. Either way you will be a BADASS and will get looks wherever you go.
SHIPPING:We are fully willing to assist with shipping and transport of this car to anywhere in the world with buyers assistance and cooperation. Buyer is responsible for the cost but we are more than happy to ease the burden of the coordination.
Please email with any questions regarding the Cruise itself or to see the car before you bid. Thanks and remember to put your highest bid if you want to own this awesome piece of history.
