Up for your consideration is a very nice 1979 Toyota Corolla SR5 Sport Coupe. It runs and drives nice, with cold AC. Good tires, new fluids, just cleaned very thoroughly inside and out.
I own an auto shop and just picked this car up currently, it had been sitting several years before I picked it up. That being said, we just recently performed the following to get her back on the road:
I know very little about this vehicle's history, but I can tell you just about anything about its present condition. Don't hesitate to email if you have a specific question - Wes@HighlineCarCare.com
Body is very straight, paint is obviously a bit faded. Passenger quarter panel and driver fender both show evidence of prior repair. The vehicle has zero rust, and is exceptionally clean underneath. Missing a few mouldings and emblems.
Interior is very clean. Carpet is nice. Seats and dash will need repair.
Car starts right up, runs and drives very nice. Carburetor could use additional adjustment, as it does not like to hold an idle with AC on. Many opt to upgrade to a Weber carburetor anyhow, so I didn't put too much effort into this. I might dig further if it's important to the buyer. Could also use a driver side inner tie rod, I may also replace at buy it now price. Clutch and transmission feelnice, car handlesand stops well.
Odometer reads almost 73,000 miles. I do not know if it has rolled over once or not, but the title does state that mileage is in excess of mechanical limits. If it actuallyhas 173,000 miles, I'd say the underside and suspension are in VERYgood condition. Even the rubber bushings are in good shape...
I had initially bought this because Ilove the body style and thought it would be a cool restoration project. It turns out though that I already have a few projects going, so I figured I would offer it up for sale.
Good luck and happy bidding!
