I put the car through the MOT (roadworthy test for driving on UK roads) test this week which it passed with flying colours; not even a single advisory even with 2 testers checking the car!
I have had around 15 of these land cruisers (and built 9 myself) and love everything about them and would say I know the issues that they suffer from. I would class this car as easily the best one I have seen and driven for a long time!
Buying an old land cruiser can be very risky like any classic car they suffer from the dreaded rust. The first point to note for me is to not buy a recently 'restored' vehicle as more likely than not they will have issues hidden under all the new shiny paintwork (as I found out on one of my first cruisers that I purchased many years ago).
The bodywork on this car is second to none with no issues at all! the engine is a real gem! I have always added a turbo to my cruisers to provide the extra low end kick that the B series engines lack but the engine in this truck is truly unbelievable it accelerates very well and feels very strong throughout the rev range.
The gearbox is just as it is supposed to be with a nice sure gear change feel with no issues.
The suspension and dampers are all original and provide plenty of reassurance on and off the road.
The interior is all as it should be with both front seats recently reupholstered. The seats are all original blue cloth and have had seat covers to protect from dirt and grime.
I have lots more I could write about but for more info please give me a call!
Take a look at our seller feedback, we have sold many cars on eBay and all have been as described (if not better than described); If a car is not good enough for me and my family then I will not sell it to anyone!!! I require a $200 deposit (refundable if we agree the car is not as described) within 12 hours of acceptance of sale, this is to make sure the buyer is genuine.
