I began restoring this FJ40 three years ago when I purchased it. I am now moving from my house with a garage to a new condo and will not have space to work on it. The body has significant rust and my next step was to replace the body but i never got that far. The engine is the original 2F engine and runs well. I drive it on a regular basis. So far I replaced: the frame with a replacement frame (sand blasted and painted with black frame paint), suspension, exhaust, battery and steering arm. I also replaced the door hardware. I removed the interior door panels and they need to be replaced. The vehicle also has new tires (BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A 33X12.50R15. Tires have less than 500 miles on them. Body side panels were painted black by the previous owner. Original (and interior) color is white. VIN Number is FJ-273129, manufactured in March 1978. I also have the original owners manual. MileageGageis not accurate. Heater, blower motor, wipers, lights, and turn signals are all in good working order. The gas Gage works intermittently.
