1971 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

1971 FJ40 Toyota Landcruiser, $12,500. All original, has some rust and mud on it. It is very complete and comes in the rare and original Sea Foam Green. Original 3 on the tree with bench seats and jump seats also. All seats and interior are there and this is very solid rig.
Based on the tags, we think this truck had been in a barn since 1980. My mechanic put gas in, attached a new battery and it fired right up, first try! He said the engine is in great shape, he couldn't believe how well it runs.
This was my first FJ40 and I bought the truck and had my mechanic go through everything mechanically and replace with brand new parts, list below and I have all receipts of new parts ordered from Specter Off Road and labor time as well...............
* 38mm Weber Carburetor kit
* Accelerator cable
* Stock wiper blades
* New owners manual
* OEM ignition cylinder lock and key
* Brake master cylinder
* Turn signal assembly
* Front wheel cylinder set
* Rear wheel cylinder set
* Clutch hydraulic update kit
* Rear outer door handle
* Back window replacement, still in box
* OEM rear 4wd emblem
* OEM rear emblem pad
* OEM rear Toyota emblem
* OEM rear emblem pad
* Clip, emblem
* Nuts and washers for above emblems to be added
* Zinc plated hood hook kit
* Mirror and arm set, pair, in box
* Window regulator kits, in box
* Light switch knob
* Cigarette lighter
I put a brand new set of tires on it and it also has the rack on the roof. It has a jerry can that I was going to have mounted on it as well. The gas tank was removed and reconditioned too. It also has an original gun rack. If you see the picture, it has a small hole in the roof, looks like it may have hit a branch in the woods. However, the truck is safe and sound in my garage so it will not be in the weather. Have original owners manual that I found up in the glove compartment, it is not in good shape, but I do have it pictured on the last picture by the new manual.
Again, the truck starts right up on the first try every time and mechanically everything has been fixed and replaced with new parts. The interior lights work, the license plate light and the dashboard lights work as well. The one thing that will need replacing is the speedometer cable. The mileage states 55,400 miles.The sticker on the back appears to read Crossville, TN, I assume that is where the truck was bought. There are many hunting lodges in that area, and I can imagine this may have transported hunters in and out of the woods there, hence the gun rack too.
Bottom line, this is a super candidate to drive as is or do body work and have a super nice truck. I bought this for my wife and just didn't realize what I was getting into. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to come and see it. Please check out my feedback. I have been a member for many years and have 665 transactions with 100% positive feedback. Buy confidently. I do not do this as a living and want you to be thrilled with this truck.
