1986 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 Description

The heritage, legendary reliability, and folklore surrounding the greatest piece of Japanese engineering to cross the Pacific cannot be fully communicated on this platform. Vintage Land Cruisers turn heads even more today than they did when they were first introduced.
Immediately after buying this beast a little over a year ago, I took off on a 1,700 cross-country trip. I expected this vehicle to die on me at least 2-3 times on the trip. But I had too little faith! Before leaving I only swapped out the belts and checked the oil, and this Bronze Billy Goat made the whole trip without stopping once. I had read up on the legend of the Land Cruiser, but this performance exceeded all my expectations.
Being a 30+ year-old vehicle with no full restoration and all original miles, this Cruiser was due some updates to maintain its capability and glory. Through the last year I've been driving it as my daily driver and have replaced several mechanical components and some minor cosmetic pieces here and there as I've had time and money to do so. But with a growing family, I over-estimated how much opportunity I'd have to love on this Cruiser. So now is the [very sad] time to part with it. My hope is that the next owner will give the Bronze Billy Goat the opportunity to stretch its legs as it deserves.
