1988 Toyota Supra Description

The Full Story. Selling this 88 Supra (non-turbo) after much consternation. I will try to describe it to the best of my ability. You can own it for FAR LESS than I already have invested in it. I have owned it for years. It sat for almost 20 years outside and no one drove it. When my son turned 16, I bought it with the intention of giving it to him, but I never did. In recent years, I decided to restore it. So, I’ve been slowly bring it back to life.

I drive it most days to work (downtown approx 50 miles round trip). Everything is working, but you can expect some quirks given it’s > 31 years old.

The bad news - because it sat outside for so many years, the sun took it’s toll on the interior. The seats and plastic parts have dry rotted. I bought 2 replacement seats but never put them in. I couldn't decide if I wanted to reupholster the seats in it, or reupholster the replacements. (The replacement seats are grey cloth). I'll throw those in if you pick up the car.

The Good news – I have literally spent thousands making repairs; including

Fuel Tank

Exhaust system

Racing / Adjustable Struts

Brakes & New Tires

Belts & Hoses

Cold Air Intake

AC

Radiator

Rear Differential (LSD)

And counting

Really the last two items on my list is the Interior and the obvious paint job.

You can see in the pictures that the body is in great shape for 31. There is only some small separation starting at the front Rockers. It IS NOT rusted out. You can see in the pictures. Because it sat so long,..it was not really exposed to salt on the road.

It is 10 shades of red, but should be absolutely beautiful with a good paint job.

The RESERVE PRICE is much less than the cost of my investment (in fact, it’s not much more than the cost of the Suspension).

So good luck bidding for a rare piece of history that’s still getting complements.
