1986 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

1986 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60

I am the second owner of this low mileage cruiser. I still have the original title and lease agreement from 1986. This was given to me by my grandfather after he passed 10 years ago and I have made several upgrades (with love) since then.

  • Old Man Emu 3” suspension kit

  • Old Man Emu steering stabilization bar

  • ARB Front Bumper

  • Door actuators for keyless entry

  • Alarm system

  • New (Within the last few years):

    • Alternator

    • Radiator

    • Power Steering unit

    • Thermostat

    • Radio

    • Carburetor

  • New BFGoodrich All-terrain T/A tires

  • Dynamat sound dampener throughout vehicle

  • Upgraded sound system (Kicker QS & RS speakers with kicker amp)

  • Tuffy Security Console

This has been an occasional driver and never an off-road vehicle, despite being perfect for it. I inherited the truck with 118,000 miles on it and have driven it to 175,900 since then. I still have the original bumper, console, and radio to go along with it. It does have 2 minor rust spots on the driver’s side rear quarter panel but is otherwise rust free. I sand and spray the undercarriage with rust-ileum annuallyso it is very clean underneath. I have replaced the gasket on the oil pan and there are no leaks underneath as well as replaced the differential plugs with Alien Allen wrench ones for easier maintenance. The only thing that I have not gotten around to doing, which is a must, is the A/C compressor needs to be replaced, as it is leaking oil and cost around $300 to purchase if you can do the swap yourself.
