1991 Toyota MR2 SPORT ROOF Description

1991 Toyota MR2 SPORT ROOF with collision damage to front end.
I have owned this car for 14 years and have done most of the work on it. This was my daily driver for many years, until it was damaged in a collision while I was on my way to work. It has sat on jackstands for about two years. I am now getting ready to move, and will not be able to take this car with me, thus I am selling it.
The good:
  • The motor starts and runs.
  • The transmission / drivetrain / engine compartment were not involved in the collision, and are undamaged.
  • The motor does not leak oil.
  • Interior is complete (but has mold buildup due to sitting in humid Washington air - will need to be cleaned)
  • 3SGTE Gen 2 motor with CT-26 turbo
  • ARP Head Studs
  • KO Racing Exhaust
  • Greddy aluminum intercooler
  • This was a reliable daily driver for me (to the extent that an MR2 Turbo can be reliable).

The bad:Obviously, expect collision damage to the front end and driver's side. Some of the highlights:
  • Rebuilt title. I do not know the history of this, as I do not know the original owner. I recommend doing a vehicle history check.
  • Driver's side headlight does not pop up / retract properly.
  • Driver's side mirror is gone - it sheared off during the collision. I have a replacement but have not installed it.
  • Driver's side window does not close properly. Glass is intact, but the guide rail is bent. Power window switch / motor works, but window does not go up under its own power.
  • Driver's side door has some collision damage.
  • Both front fenders are damaged.
  • Both front wheels are broken and will need replacement.
  • Unibody may not be straight.
  • Mold buildup due to sitting in Washington humidity.
  • Rust bubbles underneath paint behind driver's side T-Top.
  • Speed sensor and odometer do not work. The odometer stopped around 173,000 miles. I estimate the actual mileage around 200,000 miles.
  • A/C compressor is missing
