The body remains straight and solid, the engine bay and undercarriage is extremely tidy, the front bumper supports a 12,000-capacity Badland winch and the bumper looks great.This Toyota rolls on Firemax FM501 all-terrain light truck tires and there’s another one as a rear-mounted spare tire on the barn doors. All four tires plus the spare are mounted on a gray, alloy wheels that contrast nicely with the paint color. Up front are locking hubs and leaf springs at every corner. Under the hood is Toyota’s venerable 4.2L inline six-cylinder engine (code 2F). Mated to this motor is a four-speed manual transmission (code H42) with a two-speed transfer case and 4.11:1 rear end (code K082). Putting power to the wheels are a pair of Birfield front and rear axles. Driver convenience features include front disc brakes and rare power steering. Inside, there is a black vinyl interior (code LE11). The front buckets and fold-down rear jump seats are all in very good order, as are the matching floor mats. A classic, three-spoke steering wheel is ready for adventure. A red metal instrument panel presents a full array of gauges and the black inner door liners echo the rest of the interior’s condition. Rounding out the interior is an under-dash heater.
