BEST OF THE BEST!........1979 Toyota FJ40 Land cruiser fully loaded with every option and then some! FOR SALE:1979 FJ40 land cruiser fully loaded. This vehicle was a frame off restoration by TLC4X4 in California in 2003 and has been beautifully maintained ever since. TLC4X4 is one of the largest FJ restorers in the country and creaters of the scratch built ICON FJ’s topping over $200K. These guys are the best of the best as time has proven.Restoration started with afull mechanical overhaul, ee sales flyer below from earlier purchase. From every nut and bolt to every wiring harness......all Toyota spec'd. Immaculate job and another beautiful showroom re-creation from Jonathan Ward. Truck only sees sunny days every week or so and has always been garaged.I have all original manuals and tool kit, arn winch bag with tools (brand new, ever used), lus a soft top and bikini, s well as a matching painted tailgate for when hardtop is off. All locks are original as is all glass; this was not a parted together truck like most you find on Ebay, ll VIN's match. Rims are original Toyota powder coated black with correct Toyota center caps. I have all receipts for work done and bill of sale from TLC4X4. Upgradesinclude a Tuffy console, ld Man Emu suspension, ine-X inside and under tub, LC high back leather seats, n Alpine CD stereo as well as an ARB bumper and air lockers. A/C was professionally converted to R134a by TLC and has the high and low side quick connect ports in line as well as new hoses. Everything else is original or rebuilt. This truck needs absolutely nothing, ust a driver. Very strong 2F engine, o leaks. Recently replaced the front knuckle seals and bearings, aster cylinder etc.last month. All mechanical is absolutely perfect as well as the body and paint. Sound system is incredible! All is in perfect running condition ready to roll. Honestly, t's like driving a manual 4runner. Great on highway. This was a true find worthy of Wards talents and carefully chosen. During restoration, e removed the stripped body from the frame and repainted the truck in the original color, eassembled with all the OEM re-plated hardware with stainless steel upgrades throughout, ll new weather stripping, mblems, ash and roll pads, xtensive powder coating on most trim pieces (rims, umpers, love box, oll bar, tc.). Mechanically, e did over $20,000 worth of maintenance and upgrades including fully overhauled front and rear axle assemblies, ew upgraded brake system, ransmission and transfer case rebuild, ew clutch, ull tune up and valve adjustment, ngine side cover/valve cover oil pan gaskets, ew steering system, ew 33" BFG All Terrain tires on new stock rims, ebuilt carburetor, verhauled intake and exhaust manifolds, ew exhaust system with catalytic converter and much more. I have ownedmany FJ's but this has been my favorite by far. Definitely the best and most comfortable ride. It cruises perfect, ight and straight, nd comfortably at highway speeds! Climate shows these are becoming more popular in the high end auctions (Barrett-Jackson, ecum) as they have topped over $100K in less time than predicted (2013).Pics do not do this FJ justice......it is ashowroom piece.
