1987 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

conditions; I work as a rural and remote physicianon Salt Spring Island, BC. I drove this vehicle daily for six years without any difficulties. When it became eligible for collector plates I applied and was granted these. This status does not allow for work use so I use a P/U truck. It infrequently snows on Saltspring but when it does the entire island shuts down except for a few well equipped 4 wheel drive vehicles with good snow tires. I has no difficulties getting around even into un-plowed areas in order to make housecalls. My Nokian all season tires with 4-wheel and occasionally chains never let me down.
Features: Frame attached trailer hitch and light hook up. This vehicle has legendary torque but I have only towed a small boat trailer.
History: I'm the third owner. Vehicle was purchased in Calgary and sold within a year to a Vancouver family who used it for the next 20 years as a family vehicle. I do not believe it ever went off road. I learned of this vehicle from the Service manager at Granville Toyota where the owners had it serviced. At that time I was driving a BJ 60 with a badly rusted frame. I knew what to look for in assessing the box frames of these vehicle and felt that this vehicle had anexcellent frame. This was corroborated by my mechanic. The owner of the vehicle had spent quite a lot of money on the mechanics but little on the cosmetics and inevitable rust damage ( I have bills from Granville Toyota closed to ( $10,000). They were looking at spending a lot more to bring it back into top shape and decided to sell. My mechanic had inspected the vehicle prior to purchase and had given a rough estimate of costs ($10,000) to get it back in top condition. The big items were a complete new suspension (Old Man Emu suspension),, brakes, wheel seal, front differential and repair of the rusted wheel wells and other rusted areas.
Shipping and Payment: Shipping will be the responsibility of the purchaser. I will assist in delivering the vehicle to the broker of your choice in Vancouver, or the lower mainland. Payment through PayPal.
