1980 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500 - OVERDRIVE AND FACTORY HARDTOP
1980 Triumph Spitfire Description
Up for auction is a 1980 Spitfire Spitfire 1500. It shown 41,924 miles on a clock, not sure if it is original or turned over miles. The car is run, drive and stop. Engine started easy and sounds strong. It has a upgrade Weber 32/36 for better performance. (It does need some adjustments). The gear box is shifting smooth through all gears. The overdrive is working like supposed to be. Brakes are working great(recently fluid changed and bled). Interior looks decent, carpet is worn but it is clean. I does need door seals, dash has few cracks, clear coat pealed on wood dashes. It has surface rust on driver's floor, battery box and by brake master area(wire brushed and coated with POR-15). The car is solid for 38 years old. No rust any where on body. All electrical is working in order. Paint is a 10-20 footers but original, there are some sun faded, scratches and dings on some areas. No AM/FM radio(it was removed by me). I replaced a clutch slave on 06/30/2017. It has black Tonneau cover, tan Boot cover and original tool kits in plastic bag. Two front tires are fairly new, rears are old but hold air. Hardtop head liner is in good shape. Soft top frame only. I have a clear Washington Title in hand.
There is a slightly dent on a front driver's side headlight and door(see pictures)
Attention California buyer - Due to an upgraded Weber carburetor and some smog items has been removed. Therefore; the car will not pass California emission test. To pass smog test, you will need a air rail, EGR, U tube, Carburetor 150CD and intake manifold. All the rest is still intact.
The car will be sold in "AS IS and "WHERE IS". California buyer is responsible for Smog.
