Up for auction is a 1972 Triumph TR-6. Thecar has is a true numbers matching car with original paint as I believe it to be. She runs and drives great with nearly $7,000 spent n her in the last 200 miles or so.I have receipts totaling $3900 not including the new tires, new seats, new top and several other things. The paint code is#72 Pimento Red and the interior trim code is #11 Black.. Mechanical s:The car runs great and drives very nicely. Car starts right up at the touch of the key. Runs drives great with no know issues. No body squeaksor rattles when driving the car. Upgraded duel Monza exhaust system which sounds great. Roughly 200 miles ago the following work was completed. New points, new ignitionwires, new distributorcap, new rotor button, new spark plugs, new, new ignition coil, new air filters, oil change, new oil filter, new upper radiator hose, new radiator coolant, new radiatorcap, new battery, new battery cables, carburetorstuned / balanced, new choke cable, new hood release cabl, valves adjusted and the starter was motor rebuilt. The other huge thing done to the car was is it receiveda complete new clutch kit ( Huge expense ). The kit includeda new clutch disk, new pressure plate and new release bearing. All of the above work is documented with receipts from a very well know Britishcar service here in CharlotteNC. Other items where the brake booster and brake master cylinder done some time ago so the brakes are solid and yes the emergencybrake does work.Gauges:All gauges are in proper working order at this time. Electrical's : This area is in very good condition with the following items in proper working order. Head lights work ( high and low beam ), front maker lights work, front indicator lights work, front side markers work, front running light work, rear running lights work, rear indicator lights work, rear side maker lights work, rear brake lights work, rear back up lights work, licenceplate lights works, hazard light switch works and yes the hornworks.Exterior:The car shows well in the photos and presents herself well in person. This is reported to be the original paint on the car and while I'm no expert I'vechecked the car over and believeit to be so which makes her very rare.. The body is exceptionallystraight with no dings or dents that I can find. Nor can I find any paint bubbles anywhere on the paint. Yes there are a few paint touch ups but one would expect that on a 45 year old original paint car. Paint is smooth to the touch but a good buffing is in order ( still very presntable as seen in the photos ). Look at the panel fit of the doors, hood and truck - really clean and sharp. No know accidents, panel replacement or rust repairs to the exterior of the car. All original Triplex XXX glass for the windshieldand door glass. Car sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no visible signs of leaning or sagging. The car sports like new Coker Classic "Red Line" radial tires ( cost nearly $980 for the set or 4 ) and give her that true period look. She also has new chrome wheel trim rings ( originalaluminumones come with car ) and new center cap TR6 logo decals. New retractable chrome antenna, new inner & outer door window waist seals and new chrome luggage rack ($500).Interior: As you can see its in very nice condition. The seat where completelyredone last year ( $800 ). New shifter boot, new gear shift knob, recovered center dash support new sun visors & retainerclips and a new dash knob set set as well. Nice carpet as well. Dash top does have a 2 cracks but don't fret the car comes with a new $300 dash top that the new owner can install. Notice the originalBritish Leyland AM / FM radio as well.Soft Top:The soft was replacedabout a year or so ago and is in very nice conditionCovers:Car comes with a top cover as seen in the photos.Trunk:The trunk is rock solid. Has original jack and a spare tire. Also the car comes with a few boxes of new parts totalingat least $200 or $300.Underbody:The underbody is ingood condition.The frame, floors and inner sillslook good from underneath as seen int the photo.Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders.
